Title: Thick skin type of the finger
Description:

The skin here has a thick strongly keratinized epidermis with many cornified epidermal ridges and furrows on tips of fingers called
fingerprints or dermatoglyphics, formed on the profile of the dermal papillae.
The interior surface of the epidermis shows ramified funnel-shaped epidermal ridges and concavities into which long, branched
dermal papillae fit.
All layers are present, i.e. stratum corneum, stratum lucidum, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum and stratum basale.
The dermis is formed by the stratum papillare and stratum reticulare.
Sebaceous glands and eccrine sweat glands with secretory ducts (arrows) are present, as well as fat cells.
