4.4.1 POJA-L3539+3327+2833+2832
Title: Pancreatic acinus (human, rabbit)
Description: Stain (A): Azan, human. (B, C) Electron micrograph (rabbit). (D) Electron micrograph scheme.
The cluster of acinar cells (1) is arranged as a serous gland around a lumen in which an intercalated duct (3) ends or begins with a centroacinar cell (2). The secretory (or zymogen) granules (0, 5-1 µm) are electron dense (6), are produced by the numerous rough endoplasmic reticular profiles (5) and become located in the apical parts of the cytoplasm and are subsequently exported into the (intercellular) lumen (4) and intercalated duct (3).
Keywords/Mesh: pancreas, exocrine, centroacinar cell, intercalated duct, electron microscopy, histology, POJA collection
