Title: Keratin 7 expression in pancreas carcinoma (human)

Generally keratin CK7 is expressed in ductal cell types of the pancreas but not in the acinar secretory cell types (see POJA -L-2827+2840+3316+3317+3315). The CK7 positive adenocarcinoma cells here arise in the ductal epithelium. Usually they are moderately to poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas forming abortive tubular structures or cell clusters. The tumor exhibits a deeply infiltrative growth pattern accompanied by dense stromal fibrosis (CK7 negative) with some inflammatory cells. The malignant glands are atypical, irregular and lined by anaplastic, cuboidal to columnar epithelial cells.
