The efferent ductules in the head (caput) of the epididymis are outlined with scalloped pseudostratified epithelium
with irregular heights, i.e. local protrusions bearing tufts (1) of stereocilia or kinocilia/short microvilli.
The tubules are surrounded with myofibroblast cells as well as smooth muscle fibers (2).
