7.2 POJA-L1581+1766
Title: Endometrioid adenocarcinoma, well-differentiated (human, adult)
Description: Stain: (A) Hematoxylin-eosin; (B) CK 7-antikeratin antibody (OVTL 12-30) immunoperoxidase staining with diaminobenzidin reaction (DAB).
(A): Atypical glandular formation within myometrium (1), mitoses and some chronic inflammatory infiltrations (2).
(B): Glands are compact close to each other; there is slight heterogeneity of CK 7 expression in gland cells. Usually both cytokeratin 7 and 18 as well are normally expressed by columnar cells in a.o. urogenital tracts. Well-differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinomas maintain their CK 7 expression upon proliferating and invading the uterine wall. (Partly by courtesy of G. P. Vooijs MD PhD, former Head of the Department of Pathology, Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands).
Keywords/Mesh: female reproductive organs, uterus, endometrioid adenocarcinoma, endometrial neoplasms, cytokeratin 7, histology, POJA collection
