16.1.3 POJA-L7141+7051+7028B Foetal remodelling of bone
Title: Foetal remodelling of bone
Description:
(A+B): Human foetus. Trichrome Goldner stain.
(A): Stage with minimal signs of remodeling of the bony shape.
(B): Clear signs of foetal remodeling. Osteoclasts tend to gather to dislocate and resorb bone fragments and create more space.
(C): Fibrosis, infiltration and formation of capsule. There is distinct unregular breakdown and remodeling.
(C): Azan stain.
(1): Connective tissue sheet including periosteum.
(2): Bone matrix (incompletely mineralised.
(3): Hyaline cartilage.
(4): Connective tissue sheet including perichondrium
(5): Nerve fibers
(6): Capillary
(7): Connective tissue with activated osteoclasts (multinucleated large cells) and cellular infiltration.
Keywords/Mesh: locomotor system, bone, foetus, remodelling, osteoclast, osteoblast, POJA collection, histology
