(A): The red-brown stained vimentin is localised in the interstitial tissue (endomysium) (2) and perimysium (3), while muscle fibres (1) remain negative. At the left side the vascularisation and connective tissue stain positive too.
(B): Detail of vimentin-stained striated muscle (human). The muscle cells are negative (1) while the interstitial fibroblasts around capillaries (2) in the endomysium are brown positive.
