(1): Goblet cells.
(2): Absorptive epithelial cells or enterocytes.
(3): Crypts.
(4): Lamina muscularis mucosae.
(B): Note that the goblet cells or mucus-secreting cells are stained most intensely with the CO-TL1 antibody. The number of mucus-secreting cells increases from small intestine to colon and rectum, as the stool becomes increasingly compacted.
Keywords/Mesh: colon, rectum, goblet cells, absorptive cells, CO-TL1 antibody, histology, POJA collection
