2.2 POJA-L1113
Title: The effect of cyclophosphamide on splenic B cells (rat)
Description: Stain: Immunoperoxidase-DAB staining of B cells with the antibody mark-1.
The PALS area (1) contains T cells and remains unstained blue. The positively stained B cells (brown) are found in the germinal centres (2) and in the corona-marginal zone area (3). A single cyclophosphamide injection causes a severe depletion of B cells after 4 to 8 days as shown in (C), with respect to all B cell layers.
Cyclophosphamide is used to induce temporarily immunosupression.
Keywords: lymphatic organ, spleen, B cell, immunoperoxidase, Mark-1 antibody, cyclophosphamide, histology, POJA collection
