2.2 POJA-L1112
Title: Immunfluorescent identification of B cells (rat)
Description: Stain: FITC-labelled anti-mark-1 antibody against rat B cells, carried out on fixed spleen cells (A, B) or
non-fixed spleen cells (C).
(A): Shows (young) plasma cells producing antibodies.
(B): Shows a green stained B cell. The surrounding negative cells are likely T cells.
(C): Shows capping phenomenon, i.e. upon incubation of living B cells with an anti-Ig antibody, the formed immune complexes on the cell surface start to cap to patches or aggregates on the cell surface. These patches can be internalized o0r alternatively shed.
Keywords/Mesh: lymphatic organ, spleen cell, capping, mark-1 antibody, B cell, plasma cell, histology, POJA collection
