7.2 POJA-L1525
Title: Endometrial glands stained with immunochemical markers (uterus, human, adult)
Description: Stain: Immunoperoxidase staining with diaminobenzidin (DAB) and hematoxylin counterstaining using antibodies for:
Note that the epithelial character of the endometrial cells in the secretory period is confirmed by a strong positive expression of keratin 18 as well as BW495/36.
Since peritoneal mesothelial cells are not stained with BW495/36 but are positively stained with AMES both cell types can, therefore, be discriminated in effusions using these antibodies as differential diagnostics.
OC125 antibody recognizes a MUC16 mucine membrane-associated epitope also slightly expressed in normal epithelium of fallopian tubes, endometrium and endocervix.
The MAb NEND-3 is specific for endometrial (and endometriotic) epithelial cells since no reactivity with other epithelial cell types was found.
Keywords/Mesh: female reproductive system, uterus, NEND-3 antibody, BW495/36 antibody, endometrium, endometriosis, OC125, CK18-2, HMFG2, AMES, mesothelium, histology, POJA collection.

Description: Stain: Immunoperoxidase staining with diaminobenzidin (DAB) and hematoxylin counterstaining using antibodies for:
- the epithelial marker BW495/36 and HMFG2,
- the ovarian tumor marker OC-125,

- the endometrial cell marker NEND-3, and
- the mesothelial marker AMES.
