11.4 POJA-L3094+3096+4447+3097
Title: Cerebellum 1
Description:
(A): Silver stain, human. Survey “Arbor vitae”.
(B): Silver stain, human. (1) Molecular layer. (2) Ganglion layer with Purkinje cells. (3) Granular layer. (4) Medulla.
(C): Immunofluorescence staining with antibodies against neurofilament, mouse. The yellow arrow points to the position of the
Purkinje cells surrounded by positive reacting axons of the basket cells. Overwhelming presence of neurofilaments in the layers 2,
3 and 4. Purkinje cells have an elaborate dendritic fanlike arbor and they constitute the sole output of all motor coordination.
(D): Immunoperoxidase staining with DAB and antibodies against MBP (Myelin Basic Protein), mouse. It confirms the localization
of myelinated nerve fibers in the medulla and granular layer. MBP maintains the correct structure of the myelin membranes.

myelin basic protein, histology, POJA collection
