4.1.1 POJA-L3991
Title: Gastric glands in fundus of the stomach (human)
Description: Electron micrograph. The parietal cell (1) has numerous, large mitochondria, intracellular canaliculi (2) connected to the tubulo-vesicle system in which the HCL is generated and transported. The chief cell (3) contains many large electron gray granules with proteolytic enzymes such as pepsinogen. Note that the gray granules show a large electron dense core.
Keywords/Mesh: stomach, undus, parietal cell, chief cells, electron microscopy, POJA collection
