2.2 POJA-L991
Title: Spleen with secondary lymphatic nodule (human)
Description: Stain: Azan.
The white pulp consists of:
(1): A cross-section of the central artery,
(2): Top of the mantle zone and
(3): The marginal zone.
The red pulp contains empty venous sinuses (4) and the perilymphoid zone is the zone of red pulp immediately surrounding the nodule and is composed of a reticulin scaffold concentrically arranged anastomosing fine vascular channels draining into the sinusoids or directly into venous sinuses.
Rectangle is displayed in the scheme of electron microscopy (see POJA –L976A)
Keywords/Mesh: lymphatic tissue, spleen, white pulp, mantle layer, marginal zone, follicle, histology, POJA collection
