The liver sinusoid spaces are filled with erythropoietic islets (4) with relative dark condensed nuclei of mostly normoblast cell types. Portal triad with (1) branch of portal vein, (2) branch of hepatic artery with muscular wall, (3) lymph vessel, (4) bile ductules.
Arrows point to limiting plates of hepatocytes.
The ring of hepatocytes abutting the connective tissue of the triad is called the periportal limiting plate.
