Title: Transition of normal colon epithelium into adenoma cells (human)
Description: Stain: CO-TL1 monoclonal antibody (colon-specific antigen) immunoperoxidase staining with diaminobenzidin reaction (DAB) and hematoxylin counterstaining.
In the left (A) area all colonocytes are stained strongly positive overall within the cells comparable to a normal colon.
In the right (B) area there is an abrupt transition in staining pattern and in the adenomatous area the staining of the cells is limited mainly to the apical surface side of the cells. The antibody CO-TL1 marks the transition.
